Here & There is a family-run food truck based out of Oakland.
It started as a pop-up at Lake Merritt in 2022. Nick, who'd worked as a cook in the Bay for years, decided to start bringing cooking equipment and a market canopy out to the lake and making sandwiches. Thanks to the community that came out to eat, the pop-up was able to turn into a food truck in 2023, and we've been running it ever since.
The namesake for the food truck is the wide variety of restaurants Nick worked at. He came up working at places around Seattle before moving to the Bay and working at even more. From seafood to Szechuan cuisine, he worked at most every type of restaurant — and that diversity of style is the main influence behind the type of food the truck tries to make.
